I have problems too, especially with the i386 images. Dear John, I had reduced the reserved extra space to zero because I do not need this for a simple installation. This bug is not related with the space available on the USB storage. I have tried different devices. Copying the files to the USB storage always stops at 41% regardless of the type in use.
