I installed lately kubuntu 14.04LTS and tested it against 12.04LTS. And finally I'm disappointed because of longer KDE startup, more memory consumption, lack of adept (can be instaled from 12.04) and at last LACK OF window manipulation sounds! This is a feature of the KWin of the KDE 4.11. The Kwin developer has removed most of the KWin notifications.
