[Bug 1210698] Re: [HP G62-b03SG] Incorrectly two monitors detected with radeon
Guillermo Lo Coco, please do not apport-collect to a report you are not the original reporter of. Instead, so your hardware and problem may be tracked, please file a new report by executing the following in a terminal: ubuntu-bug xorg Please ensure you have xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information. For more on this, please see the official Ubuntu documentation: Ubuntu X.Org Team, Ubuntu Bug Control, and Ubuntu Bug Squad: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/BestPractices#X.2BAC8-Reporting.Focus_on_One_Issue Ubuntu Community: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette When opening up the new report, please feel free to subscribe me to it. As well, please do not announce in this report you created a new bug report. [Bug 1210698] Re: [HP G62-b03SG] Incorrectly two monitors detected with radeon
Hi, I have the same problem. Two display detected on a HP G62 notebook. Hybrid VGA configuration enable both gpu. When enable HDMI, a third monitor appear. If I mirror, lot of problems appear. Cant use HDMI mirroring, only disabling the others displays. (radeon/intel lvds) Also many im I also try kernel 3.17 with no luck. I couldn't find a way to solve this issue. [Bug 1210698] Re: [HP G62-b03SG] Incorrectly two monitors detected with radeon
imthk2, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Thank you for your understanding. [Bug 1210698] Re: [HP G62-b03SG] Incorrectly two monitors detected with radeon
I recently tested 13.10 on a intel+nvidia system (using nouveau) and got the same behavior. [Bug 1210698] Re: [HP G62-b03SG] Incorrectly two monitors detected with radeon
It's getting even funnier. By disabling the radeon graphics card there are three monitor outputs now! Maybe it is a problem with hybrid graphics? [Bug 1210698] Re: [HP G62-b03SG] Incorrectly two monitors detected with radeon
The problem did not occur in releases prior to raring (just checked 12.10 from a live-usb and there is only one monitor output). Raring is special: When running unity I didn't noticed the bug because the second imaginary monitor is disabled by default (but still present in the system settings). However on Kubuntu 13.04 this second monitor output is on by default. On Saucy I get this second screen additionaly in lightdm (which was not the case in raring) which means I can move the mouse cursor over the right edge of the screen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1210698 Title: [HP G62-b03SG] Incorrectly two monitors detected with radeon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1210698/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
