Please attach a copy of your /boot/grub/menu.lst file to the bug report. (edit out any passwords if you use that option) ** Changed in: grub (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Incomplete -- After kernel upgrade acpi=off not put into grub menu.lst https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121113 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 121113] Re: After kernel upgrade acpi=off not put into grub menu.lst
I added this option but no luck. Looks like this is something we'll just have to deal with - not very user friendly though Stuart -- After kernel upgrade acpi=off not put into grub menu.lst https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121113 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 121113] Re: After kernel upgrade acpi=off not put into grub menu.lst
I think it's possible to add (extra) default boot options in /boot/grub/menu.lst for both the normal boot and recovery mode. Thus, when a new kernel is installed and menu.lst gets updated, these default boot options are added to all Ubuntu entries automatically and you shouldn't have any problem. Please try and see if this fixes your problem. -- After kernel upgrade acpi=off not put into grub menu.lst https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121113 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
