[Bug 1228506] Re: [prime] unsynchronised rendering on secondary displays
Marius-andreiana, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-intel REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. Thank you for your understanding. Also experiencing this issue on a W530 running Fedora 18 with 3.11.10. My second monitor is connected via the Lenovo dock connector. The bug does not appear if the display adapter is switched to Discrete mode in BIOS. I have also experienced this bug on a projector connected via VGA. 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Lenovo Device 21f5 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx+ Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- SERR- [disabled] Capabilities: Kernel driver in use: i915 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK107 [Quadro K1000M] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Lenovo Device 21f5 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx- Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- SERR- Kernel driver in use: nouveau -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1228506 Title: [prime] unsynchronised rendering on secondary displays To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nouveau/+bug/1228506/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1228506] Re: [prime] unsynchronised rendering on secondary displays
I would like to add that I've only noticed the problem when DVI/DP cables are used to connect the external monitor. VGA cable works just fine.
