Public bug reported: Hi,
the 12.04's version of libapache2-mod-passenger seems to be unable to work with ruby 1.9.x and to require ruby 1.8. Almost all newer rails software, on the other hand, requires at least ruby 1.9.x., and thus won't run with this passenger version. I currently don't see any chance to get this running with pure ubuntu and without manual modifications (e.g. installing passenger through gem and self-compiling modules). Would be nice to get the backport from newer ubuntu releases. regards ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: libapache2-mod-passenger 2.2.11debian-2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.5.0-40.62~precise1-generic 3.5.7.20 Uname: Linux 3.5.0-40-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu17.4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Sep 24 11:41:38 2013 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release amd64 (20130214) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/tcsh SourcePackage: passenger UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) modified.conffile..etc.apache2.mods.available.passenger.conf: [modified] mtime.conffile..etc.apache2.mods.available.passenger.conf: 2013-09-24T11:14:43.598535 ** Affects: passenger (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug precise -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1229636 Title: libapache2-mod-passenger outdated To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/passenger/+bug/1229636/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
