As a temporary fix, download the attachment compat-3.4.h, then run these
commands:

sudo cp compat-3.4.h
/var/lib/dkms/oem-wireless-rt2x00-1044172/20120910compatwirelessstella6/source/include/linux/
sudo dkms install oem-wireless-rt2x00-1044172/20120910compatwirelessstella6 -k
3.2.0-55-generic

2013-11-07 Thread Anthony Wong
As this machine has the RT3290 wifi dkms, this is not the same issue as
bug 1049466.

This is caused by dkms build failure:

In file included from
/var/lib/dkms/oem-wireless-rt2x00-1044172/20120910compatwirelessstella6/build/include/linux/compat-2.6.h:64:0,
 from command-line:0:
/var/lib/dkms/oem-wireless-rt2x00-1044172/20120910compatwirelessstella6/build/include/linux/compat-3.4.h:32:21:
 error: redefinition of ‘kmalloc_array’
include/linux/slab.h:243:21: note: previous definition of ‘kmalloc_array’ was
here

kmalloc_array was only introduced in 3.2.0-55.85 by commit 33c8356c.

bluetooth working in 3.2.0-55 kernel too.

hoping for a complete fix to avoid dkms build failure in future kernel
versions
