Public bug reported: When calling pandoc with the "--bibliography" option, it hangs (i.e., it runs forever and does not produce output).
This issue was present in earlier pandoc packages in Ubuntu, but could then be fixed by installing additional packages on which the bibliography feature depends (see http://johnmacfarlane.net/pandoc/faqs.html#pandoc-hangs-when-i-try-to- use---bibliography). In 13.10, it hangs despite these packages being installed. When installing pandoc through Haskell’s own package manager (cabal), it works fine. So I guess that this is again a packaging issue and pandoc does not find some required files for citation processing.
