Public bug reported: For some reason gnome power manager stopped working. Whenever I try to run it, the icon shows and then disappears instantly. When I run it from the terminal it does the same thing with no output. I've tried reinstalling, fully removing and installing it again and nothing seems to work. I can run the preferences dialogue from grun but not the manager to show how much power my battery has. I'm using fluxbuntu feisty with kernel 2.6.20-16-386
