Hello, I have managed to get the error again where the exchange backend connection has been lost. I have had a look over the log files and it does not appear as though we have any information in there regarding the crash. Here are the log files as required. Hi There, I am in the process of trying to track the error down and get a crash log. Several times I have had the program crash, but there has been nothing that I would call a crash log. I have now made these variables the defaults when I load the program to increase the likelyhood of me being able to get the right information. I will update you as soon as I have more info. Hi James, and sorry for the delay.
You state you had a crash, but you did not upload the coredump file --
so I guess you did not actually have a program crash, but just the
ocurrence of this error -- correct?
There is not, yet, enough data for us to pinpoint the problem. Please
follow the steps below (taken from link in a previous comment):
1. Exit evolution and run the command 'evolution --force-shutdown'
2. Run the command 'env E2K_DEBUG=4m
${install_prefix}/libexec/evolution-exchange-storage evo-exchange.log
3. Run evolution itself as 'env E2K_DEBUG=m evolution --component=mail
evo.log
4. Run until you have the failure, and then quit Evolution, and again run
'evolution --force-shutdown' from a terminal.
5. Upload here the two log files.

Hi, Sorry I missed those steps, When I create an email I will add all of the people I am sending to, generally with one person in the to, and the rest in the CC box. When I send messages to many people (generally at least 8) the email addresses are searched fine from the global address book until I hit a large number. At that point I am unable to search the users any longer and when I alt-tab back to the main evolution window I will have an error saying that evolution is unable to communicate with the exchange backend process. I then find that I am unable to fetch new emails etc until I restart evolution. I would have expected that the email client would be able to find the additional users in the GAL and the exchange process would not die.
