Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-i810
I have a Dell X10 laptop running Ubuntu feisty. I suspended the laptop. I unsuspended. Usually this works fine, however, in this case, the screen remained blank for quite a while, even though I pressed the shift key several times to bring up the "enter your password" dialog. So, I switched to vt4 with ctrl+alt+f4, then tried to switch back to vt7. On vt7, I saw a blank screen with a few light coloured pixels of noise in the top left. Shortly after this, I couldn't see a video mode VT at all, and instead, I saw a red text-mode message in a box telling me that my X server had crashed. There were strange glyphs making up the border of this box. I'll attach my Xorg.0.log file. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-i810 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- my xserver crashed after unsuspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127005 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
