AFAIK, Sun Java is no longer in Ubuntu. Even if it is, it's probably a
new version than 6. I'm sure this is broken, but nobody is going to fix
it. I just don't care any more.

Alternatives would be either
use /etc/alternatives/x-www-browser
or sensible-browser learns to use /etc/alternatives/x-www-browser

this is now firefox, sensible-browser is not correct, because it's not
sensible enough to run a browser supporting java plugins

First off, why is it necessary that the browser support Java plugins? If
the Java app is opening a web page, it may not even matter. Second, with
this change, you're assuming that my chosen browser doesn't support Java
plugins and that I have Firefox installed.
