[Bug 1277959] Re: Fn+F2 is not working for activating/deactivating wifi
Christian Mayle, as per http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=enp=3s=533m=1015Eos=8hashedid=n/a an update to your BIOS is available (304). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette . Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: bios-outdated-304 ** Changed in: linux-lts-raring (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: linux-lts-raring (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete ** Summary changed: - Fn+F2 is not working for activating/deactivating wifi + [Asus 1015E] Fn+F2 is not working for activating/deactivating wifi -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1277959 Title: [Asus 1015E] Fn+F2 is not working for activating/deactivating wifi To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-lts-raring/+bug/1277959/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1277959] Re: Fn+F2 is not working for activating/deactivating wifi
Many Thanks! Why before next LTS 14.04? There is no chance that this bug is fixed in a 12.04 LTS update? I am also having problems with Fn+F8 to switch screens. I am a university teacher so imagine that switching my laptop screen and a projector is a thing I do lots of times in a two hours class. I really do not want to use windows 7, I like unity very much, but I guess I have no more options.
