Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 14.04 prompted me to do a partial upgrade. After the upgrade, I
restarted my computer, and upon login, if forgot the ubuntu-control-
center forgot the position of my external monitor. It is left of my
Laptop's monitor (physically), but after this reboot Ubuntu was putting
it on the right.

I tried to reset this, but I got an error upon doing so:
"The name org.gnome.SettingsDaemon was Not Provided by any .service files"

See the attached screenshot. I can't seem to set my preferences for
display orientation.
