Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.13 kernel[0]. Later, I tried to copy the file again. This time, the progress bar got stuck very close to 100% (after progressing very quickly from 0% to almost 100%) and got frozen there forever. After waiting several minutes, I clicked on the x next to the progress bar to cancel the copying operation, but the window with the progress never closed (the cancel button is now greyed out).
