This bug seems to be already fixed on newer releases of Remmina. This is the bug report of Remmina in the old bug tracker (SourceForge): http://sourceforge.net/p/remmina/bugs/87/ This is the same bug report, but in the new bug tracker (GitHub): https://github.com/FreeRDP/Remmina/issues/387 This bug was already fixed in a newer upstream version 1.1.1. It appears for me, that everything works fine in 14.04 (Lubuntu) until i split screens with aRandR. On 14.04 too and im also having this annoying problem. I have tested ALL the settings and I think I figured out were the bug is. Once you have a window open disable the toggle scaled mode option it will make the content of the window appear immediatly. And if you have remember last view mode for each connection option checked in the preferences the scale mode will stay off and on subsequent connection you will see the window content right away. Can anyone else reproduce this? In Ubuntu 13.10, it behaved similarly, but merely moving the window would fix it; now it requires a resize (or toggle scale mode). Interestingly, it doesn't happen w/ all VNC servers, though I haven't found a solid pattern yet. It doesn't happen on one particular WinXP or another Win2k machine, but it does on another nearly-identical W2k machine, all 3 running UltraVNC. The problem happens with a variety of other servers including several for Linux and the one built into VMWare.
