I hope in my changing of this bug's status I am not breaking any correct path of resolvement, as I can confirm the same bug happens on the same model in my case. I've looked at bug #1166442, and tried step #137 to see if that dkms patch would resolve anything. In addition, I would point out something weird that I noticed: if I hold the middle-click down, the cursor functions fine. I can left-click while doing the middle-click, and it'll be as if I'm not using the middle- click button at all. However, the moment I let go of the middle-click, the cursor stops moving.
