Reproduced with 3.15.0-031500rc2-generic, though the results are slightly different. I got: Apr 23 13:07:28 jconti-desktop kernel: [ 291.815888] usb 1-2: ath: firmware panic! exccause: 0x000d; pc: 0x0090a641; badvaddr: 0x12345678. Seems to be the same values as the comment above, but did not get the Unable to remove station entry message. A similar thing happened when I was testing -rc1. The network connection does die, and if I try to reboot it hangs, but none of the processes seem to hang. Although I am getting terrible download speeds with -rc2 compared to 3.13.0-24-generic, so it seems to break other things (upload seems about the same though, I actually reproduced it using the comcast speed test during the upload phase). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1301558 Title: 0cf3:7015 [HP Pavilion Media Center a1630n Desktop PC] ath9k_htc 14.04 NetworkManager hangs after 'ath: phy0: Unable to remove station entry for...' Jason Conti, as per http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=228lc=encc=usdlc=ensw_lang=product=3245027#N703 an update to your BIOS is available (3.10). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette . That was surprisingly quick.
