[Bug 130274] Re: Backlight keys force backlight to lowest setting

2007-08-30 Thread Bruno Santos
Just perfect would be if g-p-m turned off the backlight when reaching
the minimum level, like it happens on OSX and like pommed did.

Nevertheless having brightness control again is nice. :-)

Thanks Matthew!

I have the same behaviour of the first post, but with the first
generation Macbook, so it's not a problem of the second generation.

[Bug 130274] Re: Backlight keys force backlight to lowest setting

2007-08-17 Thread Roberto Innocenti
MacBook 2 Ghz Core 2 Duo, today after update macosx and update ubuntu the F1 F2
for change brightness dosent change , even changing
the line 6 of /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/10-macbook-backlight.fdi
"Apple Comupter, Inc" to "Apple Inc.". as suggested for the newer macbook.
Seeing Hardware informations of System->Preferences I have see that on Computer
icon:advanced there is smbios.vendor = Apple Computer, Inc. and
smbios.system.product = MacBook2,1

So I have changed the line 6 and 7 according with this info.
I will check if run.

Same here, the (not very robust) gnome-panel brightness applet is able
to change brightness but the brightness keys stopped working since
latest update.
