Same problem for me in 14.04 - my (old) laptop just doesn't see my Fujifilm XP200 anymore. I'd love to help, upload reports or log files etc., but I just don't quite understand how. I see that penalvch has regularly requested more information about this issue on this page, and added some etiquette links - but they make little sense to me :o( The last time I tried to report a bug (years ago), I quickly got lost. I was even told the problem had been fixed, solution available in the next kernel (it wasn't). Perhaps a list of commands to run, or list of files to go and find? I think I may be hutting this problem too. Everything all fine before upgrading to 14.04. Now my Fujifilm Finepix LSS camera is not mountable. Hi, Just a few questions: 1. This is something you wish me to do while I try to connect to the camera that is unrecognized? I ask because I am now at work and this camera is at home, so I can probably not check it until tomorrow. 2. I am not so advanced in Ubuntu, so I do not really know what the difference between an Ubuntu repository kernel and a mainline one. I can just add that it seems that the problem occurs in Ubuntu 14.04 generally and depends on the type of camera. This goes for Dell Inspiron, Dell Latitude and HP ZBook. My Nikon Coolpix S31 is not mounted although I can find it with lsusb which gives: Bus 003 Device 005: ID 04b0:0341 Nikon Corp. And I can extract images from the camera with Camera.app v. 0.8 On the other hand my Olymus XZ-1 is recognized as before.
