*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1289083 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1289083 The blcr/dkms issue has been affecting me with the installation of linux-kernel-generic 3.13.0-58 linux-kernel-generic 3.13.0-59 and linux- kernel-generic 3.13.0-61, and may have affected me before. I think the Unity thing is unrelated - I'm running kubuntu, and hence KDE display manager. My current kernel is Linux phaal-kubuntu 3.13.0-61-generic #100-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 29 11:21:34 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux so I'm not sure why there would be a non-SMP kernel hanging around either in configuration or anywhere else. Unity was a BIG FAILURE from the beginning.
