I'm using 8.10 and used the auto upgrade route to get from 8.04. I did
this via the ethernet port and I cannot get the wireless side of things
to work. Here are a couple of text dumps. My system is an NX7400...

And from the kern.log it talks about the kill switch being on and it
should be turned off?
However, on upgrading to 8.10 at no time has wireless networking been
available on the network connection icon - connection properties doesn't
show a wireless option.
It is in network configuration, but changing those settings doesn't
enable wireless networking.
