I got all excited when you mentioned that workaround, so I went straight to webbrowser-app to see it for myself. Until todayI thought the webbrowser (and ALL the webapps) on Ubuntu 14.10 desktop were unusable - copy and paste is essential. Have found a workaround by right clicking on the web page, and the touch dialogue comes up for paste. This is a major functionality issue, and should be fixed - ctrl +v is standard on all systems.
