Another comment, checkbox-gtk is not installed in new versions of Ubuntu, so the problem here is that it's been carried in the installation since the initial system was installed with 11.10, which did ship checkbox-gtk. Setting up checkbox-gtk (0.16.7) ... /var/lib/dpkg/info/checkbox-gtk.postinst: 5: .: Can't open /usr/share/checkbox/install/postinst dpkg: error processing package checkbox-gtk (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 Checkbox 0.16.7 comes from saucy, and apparently it's trying to run the postinst file from checkbox, but if I recall correctly, checkbox 0.17.6-0ubuntu6 is a transitional empty package, so it will no longer ship this file.
