Public bug reported: Kubuntu 14.04 updated through 7/4/14 Libav version: 6:9.13-0ubuntu0.14.04.1
During the installation of libav-tools, dpkg complains as follows: Preparing to unpack .../libav-tools_6%3a9.13-0ubuntu0.14.04.1_i386.deb ... dpkg: error: --compare-versions takes three arguments: <version> <relation> <version> Type dpkg --help for help about installing and deinstalling packages [*]; Use 'apt' or 'aptitude' for user-friendly package management; Type dpkg -Dhelp for a list of dpkg debug flag values; Type dpkg --force-help for a list of forcing options; Type dpkg-deb --help for help about manipulating *.deb files; Options marked [*] produce a lot of output - pipe it through 'less' or 'more' ! Unpacking libav-tools (6:9.13-0ubuntu0.14.04.1) ... As far as I can tell, the software is correctly installed despite these complaints. ** Affects: libav (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1338062 Title: libav-tools throws warnings while installing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libav/+bug/1338062/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
