Oh, you said that you have two icons; presumably the other one is from a previously mounted DVD? Perhaps you ejected one using the eject button on the drive? On 14.04 that would not automatically clean up the mounts (bug 1281110). What ever the problem was, it is now fixed. When hovering over the icons it says "Blank DVD-R Disc" at both icons. Btw. Brasero Disk Burner, works fine and reports 4,7 GB of free space on DVD. (See attached screenshot.) I ejected the Blank DVD by right-clicking on one of the icons. And replaced it with a other dvd, same error message pop up. But this time only one dvd icon, appered this time.
