[Bug 1367875] Re: Lightlocker do not respect xrandr settings regarding display position
Can this issue be triggered without light-locker running too? Please test with the command "dm-tool switch-to-greeter". ** Changed in: light-locker (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1367875 Title: Lightlocker do not respect xrandr settings regarding display position To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/light-locker/+bug/1367875/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1367875] Re: Lightlocker do not respect xrandr settings regarding display position
I have a similar experience in Lubuntu 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus. I'm running a clean install (not an update) of Lubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus on an AMD A4 chipset desktop PC with AMD Radeon HD6410 APU. The motherboard features both VGA and DVI ports, and I'm using the twinhead to run dual monitors. My primary display is a 22" Samsung T220 with max res 1680x1050 (WSXGA+) which I've connected to the VGA port. The secondary display is a 15" Dell 1505FP with max res 1024x768 (XGA) which I've connected to the DVI port and permanently rotated 90° left for document viewing. I have installed the ARandR package from the Lubuntu Software Centre as a graphical interface for XRandR. I have not intentionally (or knowingly) installed any third-party display drivers. At first I was unable to get the single 22" display to any resolution better than XGA. Installing the secondary 15" display automatically opened the options for higher resolutions for the 22", up to WSXGA+ res. I use ARandR to set the 22" as primary output, set the resolution, and rotate the 15" to 90° left, and save the settings. As I cannot set the screensaver delay in light-locker-settings due to Bug #1556918 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/light- locker/+bug/1556918), whenever I step away from my computer for a few minutes light-locker kicks in and screws up my display settings, which I then have to go back to ARandR and set up all over again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1367875 Title: Lightlocker do not respect xrandr settings regarding display position To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/light-locker/+bug/1367875/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
