When it is finished (indicated by the label) the search result isn't updated leaving the user with the impression that the search result is empty for the updated index as well. Hi Karl-Philipp, I just want to clarify the issue for the programmers and I am unable to replicate this situation on my computer. Could you post the exact steps to reproduce? For example, 1. Open synaptic 2. click "search" button 3. enter a "..." as a search term 4. while it is searching for the "..." term, change the search term to "...". 5... You made this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu has been updated since then. Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket? If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to this bug?
