[Bug 139639] Re: Add PySol to Ubuntu Gnome Games
Thank you for your suggestion. However, the changes you are requesting aren't really a bug and require more discussion, which should be done on an appropriate mailing list in this case the ubuntu-desktop mailing list. please send the discussion to there, thanks. ** Changed in: gnome-games (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- Add PySol to Ubuntu Gnome Games https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139639 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 139639] Re: Add PySol to Ubuntu Gnome Games
Are there any Montana type games in Aisleriot? The ones from PySol are my favourite. I know that due to the Montana type games PySol is still popular, despite being oldish. Is it possible to include some PySol games into Aisleriot? PySol is also OpenSource software distributed under the terms of the GPL. 2007/11/22, Frederik Elwert <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > Yes, PySol is somewhat a replacement for Aisleriot. [Bug 139639] Re: Add PySol to Ubuntu Gnome Games
Yes, PySol is somewhat a replacement for Aisleriot. Plus, it's iterface, since pure Python, uses TkInter, which makes it not fit very good in the GNOME desktop. But I'd agree that PySol has really some advantages in usability when compared to Aisleriot. E.g., when you finished a game, Aisleriot only gives you the options to either quit or start a new game. What if the user wants to have a look at his statistics, but not start a now game? And PySol can move all cards to the piles by itself, so you don't have to doubleclick the whole bunch of cards when you already have won. But I'd suggest that it would be better to split this into feature requests for Aisleriot, so that they can implement the functions of PySol that really make a better user experience. -- Add PySol to Ubuntu Gnome Games https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139639 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 139639] Re: Add PySol to Ubuntu Gnome Games
Isn't PySol in direct competition with Asielriot? By the way, GNOME Games doesn't accept new games at the moment. -- Add PySol to Ubuntu Gnome Games https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139639 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
