Hello, as the README in /usr/share/doc/airstrike states, the game is not finished yet. Unfortunately it has been in this state for more than 10 years now and it would be great if someone continued the work on it. The game contains no sound files. You can verify that by checking the source package. airstrikerc is in /etc/airstrikerc and the game will read and use the configuration from this file. However it is a global configuration file and you must use sudo to modify the file. There are no user specific configuration files. So in short: It is not a packaging bug. Are we really looking at the same package? If you look at http://icculus.org/airstrike/airstrike-pre6a-src.tar.gz it clearly contains /data/sound. For the second bug: if you run the game via airstrike --option it says: All options are currently given in the config files, located at $HOME/.airstrikerc and $PWD/airstrikerc. Quitting. If this is not true, please patch the airstrike.c with correct string. Alternatively, the file could be copied by the game at start. Copy /etc/airstrikerc to ~/.airstrikerc and edit settings.
