[Bug 1403228] Re: unable to connect external monitor
I did what you said penalvch and booted from USB http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/vivid-desktop-amd64.iso, as the bug previously was also present when booting from USB. The bug does not exist in that ISO. However in earlier versions I fixed it by making a custom display configuration upon booting; so there seemed to be an indecision loop when connecting the monitors without any previous configurations, in 14.04. This bug does not exists in Ubuntu 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) Daily Build 24-Feb-2015 08:39 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1403228 Title: unable to connect external monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1403228/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Arlen, would you need a backport to a release prior to 15.04 or may this be closed as Status Invalid? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1403228 Title: unable to connect external monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1403228/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1403228] Re: unable to connect external monitor
Arlen, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg 1403228 Please ensure you have xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information. As well, given the information from the prior release is already available, testing a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. Thank you for your understanding. ** Description changed: When connecting a BenQ T905 through HDMI with a resolution of around 1280x1020, the mouse starts wobling back and forth 4-5 times a second.
