I just tried to reproduce this bug on 8.10 beta and failed to do so. Guess this bug has been solved. Using Gutsy 32-bit too and have the same problem with the Pentax .pef RAW files. I experience the following: Opening a folder with .pef files - normal file icons are displayed. When selecting one of the files the icon of the file changes to blank. After a couple of files the mentioned error message pops up. Exactlty the same behavoiur in Hardy 8.04 with .CR2 files. Wouter, are you using Gutsy or Hardy? I do not have this problem on Gutsy. Also are you using the amd64 version? I do. I can confirm this behaviour for Canon .CR2 files. I am experiencing the exact same behaviour. One additional comment to this.. In Nautilus the 'file type' show 'Digital raw image' at first. As soon as a file gets selected however, it changes to 'TIFF image'.
