The last comment seemed clear last night. Sorry. Heres how I got those logs: I rebooted and set nosplash and removed quiet from the kernel line in grub. If the issue is still present in the new release, please attach the following information: * uname -a uname-a.log * cat /proc/version_signature version.log * dmesg dmesg.log * sudo lspci -vvnn lspci-vvnn.log Please be sure to attach each file as a separate attachment. Sorry, did a typo. I mean noapic not noacpi. I'm using a Pavilion notebook with a AMD Turion X2 on Gutsy Gibbon (up- to-date). I've also discovered a problem with USB.
