A workaround for this issue is to apt-get remove maki-plugins

[Bug 1416525] Re: adding a server fails due to crash of and communication error with maki

2015-02-18 Thread Marian
Thank you for the bug report.

Of course the application should be usable with default settings. As it
is, as soon as communication with maki is established, DBus starts maki
automatically. In your case it seems that maki crashes. It would be
nice to know why this happens.

Can you provide the console output of running maki in the terminal?

Example invocation:

$ maki

No parameters needed.

Thanks.

[Bug 1416525] Re: adding a server fails due to crash of and communication error with maki

2015-02-18 Thread Karl-Philipp Richter
I can provide you with the output

$ maki
**
ERROR:../source/plugins/upnp.c:275:init: assertion failed: (miniupnpc_dev
!= NULL)
Abgebrochen (Speicherabzug geschrieben)

(Abgebrochen (Speicherabzug geschieben) means Aborted (cord dumped)
(LANG is ignored)). I opened
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sushi/+bug/1423399 in the hope
that it provides the coredump (`apport-gtk` gives useless feedback when
it comes to what it actually uploads and what not). If that's not the
case, I'd be happy for a hint (in form of a comment or a link to an
external resource) how to upload the coredump.
