[Bug 1442884] Re: kernel BUG at /build/buildd/linux-3.19.0/fs/btrfs/inode.c:3142!
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1413008 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1413008 This bug has effected me with linux-image-extra-3.19.0-26-generic & linux-image-3.19.0-26-generic. I was doing an "rsync" job when it completely blocked. Unable to kill rsync, not even with "kill -9". Unable to "reboot -fn". Only hard resetting the server worked. (However, I was able to operate on ext4 partitions as I used to). [Bug 1442884] Re: kernel BUG at /build/buildd/linux-3.19.0/fs/btrfs/inode.c:3142!
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1413008 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1413008 This bug also affects me. I just upgraded to Ubuntu 15.04 a few days ago. I created a new btrfs filesystem where I accidentally filled it by doubling my backup (3TB). I then deleted one of the backups, and tried to get a directory listing with ls in the directory that had been cleared. [Bug 1442884] Re: kernel BUG at /build/buildd/linux-3.19.0/fs/btrfs/inode.c:3142!
Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem? Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.0 kernel[0]. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed". Thanks in advance.
