Just reinstalled the jde (7.10) completely because the last update had dependency problems with emacs. The problem still exists - also see: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/jde/+bug/172743 And: By swapping the two lines there are no problems with cogre and none with cedet on my machine!! I'm not sure what the expectation is for fixes like this. It probably won't go into updates since it doesn't involve any security fixes, but I suppose it might qualify for backports. Actually ... I'm about to get a new jde package uploaded to Debian unstable which will fix not only this bug but every bug marked in progress for jde. It might be best to wait until that gets out before syncing, in order to save effort.
