Public bug reported: If I close my laptop lid to initiate suspend, everything comes back except the screen. This worked in 12.04. I *think* it's xorg because it's display related.
I have to just shut off the whole thing and restart. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 15.04 Release: 15.04 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04 Package: xorg 1:7.7+7ubuntu4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.19.0-16.16-generic 3.19.3 Uname: Linux 3.19.0-16-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl ApportVersion: 2.17.2-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: XFCE Date: Fri May 8 17:19:46 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-05-08 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" - Release amd64 (20150422.1) SourcePackage: xorg Symptom: display Title: Xorg freeze UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug freeze vivid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1453299 Title: Screen doesn't turn on after suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1453299/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
