I have solved the problem. Apparently, the keys were disabled in the keyboard by a hardware switch, and I didn't notice that. Lastique, the next step is to fully commit bisect from kernel 3.16 to 3.19 in order to identify the last good kernel commit, followed immediately by the first bad one.
