Public bug reported:

I have tried installing Kubuntu 15.04 on my laptop containing 4 SSDs
which I want to combine using raid 0.

I performed the following steps:

- boot from USB
- choose try Kubuntu
- install mdadm
- create raid 0 array
- start installation
- whole disk, guided partitioning

The installation fails with "Executing 'grub-install /dev/sda' failed".

I tried the following without luck:

- dist-upgrade before installation
- using Kubuntu 14.04.02 instead of 15.04
- manual partitioning
- using LVM w or w/o encryption
- pre-creating swap/ext4 partitions vs. partitioning during installation
