Looks like there are two changes still relevant? debian/patches/fix-double-parsing.patch and running tests (though they don't fail build for them, so maybe not hugely important -- but maybe the tests have improved and we can do that too). The tests bit didn't matter, upstream now runs the tests as part of the build. So the only delta was the one patch. I've merged, uploaded to Ubuntu, and sent the patch to Debian.
