Public bug reported:

using `pico2wave -w output.wav "$(cat ~/input.txt)"` I've tried to make
a spoken version of a document. However, if I do so, the document
(consisting of 71.180 characters), gets only read until character 5.774;
another, pure Lorum Ipsum document gets to 33746 characters, but some
other number of characters (33071, 32999) render a "Cannot put Text
(-102): invalid argument supplied" error.

** Affects: svox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
