[Bug 14833] Re: POST_VIDEO option need to be commented on Dell Latitude D800
I have the same problem, on a completely different system - hibernation worked automatically but for resume from suspend I needed to comment that line too. This is with a fresh Feisty install on a Toshiba M400, and my video driver is i810. -- POST_VIDEO option need to be commented on Dell Latitude D800 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/14833 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 14833] Re: POST_VIDEO option need to be commented on Dell Latitude D800
Sorry, the above confirmation of the bug may not be correct - I have just found that even with that line commented, resume doesn't work consistently (even though it did for the first time after I commented it!), so the problem may in actuality be caused by something unrelated.
I can confirm that POST_VIDEO=true stops resume working on nvidia driver in edgy. [Bug 14833] Re: POST_VIDEO option need to be commented on Dell Latitude D800
Having POST_VIDEO=true also stops resume working on a T60p (FireGL 5200) with the fglrx driver. This is driver 8.37.6 in gutsy Tribe 2. The same system with the vesa driver suspends/resumes fine with POST_VIDEO=true -- POST_VIDEO option need to be commented on Dell Latitude D800 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/14833 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

It is still a problem, but only with the proprietary nvidia driver.
