Public bug reported:

I got a new laptop and I tried to install ubuntu 7.10beta,but I cannot boot the
live-cd-system.I tried several times, once I saw the background of the
system,but it stopped there.
Then I tried the alternate install CD,while installing the screen became blocks
of colors, but it was installing,I saw the blocks jumping. Finally the install
finished(i guess so,because I cannot see the words),restarted my pc.It was
still a very long time(around a hour),but I cannot see the xwindows and
gnome,the screen was black.

I tried opensuse yesterday,it works well.

I don't know what's wrong with my laptop,it is acer
6252(http://www.acer.com.cn/product/spec/index.asp?id=237).
