@Avramescu, the fix mentioned in the bug description has been landed to
v4.4-rc1 as

and is included in every Ubuntu series after. I'm marking this issue as
FIXRELEASED. Please file a new bug with `sudo apport-bug linux` so that
we may have an investigation there.
