Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a kernel version where you were not having this particular problem? This will help determine if the problem you are seeing is the result of a regression, and when this regression was introduced. @Joseph, I can't really remember if there was a kernel upgrade shortly. Sadly, my logs are only on tmpfs, so I can't even tell what upgrade packages have been installed in the last days. @Joseph, I went back and tried my former versions of the kernel back to 3.19.0-26-generic. But I can't really get USB to work.
