[Bug 149945] Re: 2.6.22-13 kernel crash

2008-02-06 Thread Leann Ogasawara
Hi guys,

Sorry for the delayed response. The Hardy Heron Alpha series was
recently released which contains an updated version of the kernel. You
can download and try the new Hardy Heron Alpha release from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/hardy/ . You should be able to then
test the new kernel via the LiveCD. If you can, please verify if this
bug still exists or not and report back your results. General
information regarding the release can also be found here:
http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks

[Bug 149945] Re: 2.6.22-13 kernel crash

2007-10-20 Thread Joseph Wakeling
I believe this could also be related to
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-meta/+bug/150259 where
the system hangs at boot with the 2.6.22-13 and -14 kernels.

As a query, how is anybody supposed to successfully run uname -a and
other such commands when the system won't actually load on the relevant
kernel?

This could be the same bug as Bug 149929, which has several relevant
dmesg logs attached already.

[Bug 149945] Re: 2.6.22-13 kernel crash

2007-10-06 Thread Jérôme Guelfucci
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description
does not yet have enough information.

Please include the following additional information, if you have not already
done so (pay attention to lspci's additional options), as required by the
Ubuntu Kernel Team:
1. Please include the output of the command uname -a in your next response.
It should be one, long line of text which includes the exact kernel version
you're running, as well as the CPU architecture.
2. Please run the command dmesg dmesg.log after a fresh boot and attach the
resulting file dmesg.log to this bug report.
3. Please run the command sudo lspci -vvnn lspci-vvnn.log and attach the
resulting file lspci-vvnn.log to this bug report.

For your reference, the full description of procedures for kernel-
related bug reports is available at [WWW]
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies. Thanks in advance!
