I upgraded to 15.04 some time ago, but the problem only really appeared within the last week, possibly due to a dist-upgrade to linux-image-3.19.0-28 or linux-image-3.19.0-30. [Bug 1504763] Re: Full disk encryption password input broken in 3.19.0.31
Attached is a plymouth-debug.log with quiet and splash disabled and plymouth:debug enabled. Unfortuanly I can not gatter a plymouth- debug.log for the failing case as there is no unecrypted disk for the lg to be written to. Current state: * Using kernel 3.19.0.28 works with graphical plymouth * Using kernel 3.19.0.31 does not work with graphical plymouth * Using kernel 3.19.0.31 does work without graphical plymouth Current suggestion is that it is a kernel+plymouth related issue. ** Attachment added: "quiet and splash disabled and plymouth:debug enabled on 3.19.0.31" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plymouth/+bug/1504763/+attachment/4490609/+files/plymouth-debug.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1504763 Title: Full disk encryption password input broken in 3.19.0.31 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-kernel/+bug/1504763/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
