*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 151585 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151585 Sorry, i use virtualbox 1.5.2. not ose. I have change my ubuntu see bug 151585 /etc/init.d/mountdevsubfs.sh. The same problem with vmware-server is resolved (before shutdown vmware- server close the removable usb for the webcam, active the usb manualy). Virtualbox works little better, the video image appears on half and stops. According to http://www.labtec.com/index.cfm/gear/details/AMR/EN,crid=30,contentid=675 the webcam you are using is connected by USB. USB support is not included in the "open source edition" (OSE) of virtualbox, which is available as part of Ubuntu: http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Editions#Closed-sourcefeatures As such you are apparently using the PUEL (not the OSE) version of Virtualbox, which isn't available in Ubuntu due to incompatible licensing terms. Thus, you should report bugs in this package to Virtualbox (http://virtualbox.org/) directly. I'm therefore closing this bug 'invalid.
