How did you solve the problem with error "uses weak digest algorithm

The following path works for me:

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop:/qt5deb/Ubuntu_16.04/

The path
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/Ubuntu_16.04/

leads to qtkeychain but not owncloud-client.

However, owncloud does not show in the notification zone, even after
installing the own-cloud client after doing Roberto's workaroud :/ . Any
suggestion?

Eric

The Roberto workaround works for me.
Instead of of disabling universe, I've added /etc/apt/preferences.d/owncloud
with :

Package: *owncloud*
Pin: origin download.opensuse.org

Then purging and reinstalling owncloud-client fix this issue.

[Bug 1511058] Re: No application indicator

2016-04-27 Thread Roberto Resoli
My workaround for installing official (and working) owncloud client on
Xenial:

0) Purge 2.1.1+dfsg-1ubuntu1 with broken indicator support. "sudo apt-get purge
owncloud-client" && "sudo apt-get autoremove""
1) Disable universe ubuntu repo (which contains 2.1.1+dfsg-1ubuntu1)
2) Enable *both*:

deb
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/Ubuntu_15.10/
/
deb
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/Ubuntu_16.04/
/

3) sudo apt-get update
4) Reinstall owncloud client: "sudo apt-get install owncloud-client"
5) Re-enable universe repo.
6) mark owncloud-client as hold: "sudo apt-mark hold owncloud-client"

Works for me, and I agree that owncloud client should receive more care
in ubuntu.

[Bug 1511058] Re: No application indicator

2016-04-20 Thread fabianbur

Owncloud is one of the projects most useful free software and constantly
updated.
The stable version of Ubuntu 16.04 will start tomorrow and there is not a
developer assigned to take over the bug, of about 60 that are notified
according to the same page!

The ppa is not active yet owncloud and ppa corresponding to 15.10
version no longer works with 16.04.

It would be excellent if the client provides Ubuntu work, but it is the
same repositories of Debian Sid, running on Debian Sid and I guess other
official escriotrios the same ubuntu, but not with Unity.

is not just a cosmetic problem, without notification at the top of
Unity, there is no way of knowing if the client is synchronized or if
there is a failure in real time.

problem. It's kind of strange that the new LTS version of ubuntuis going

There is now an Ubuntu 15.10 PPA :D

You have to remove the owncloud.

All packages schould be removed:

Furhermore you have to remove the old PPA.

After this try:
Add key:

sudo apt-key add - < Release.key

sudo sh -c "echo 'deb
