Well, the problem seems to be with fglrx. On Gutsy w/ stock fglrx 8.37 and xserver-xgl (running compiz-fusion) I can confirm that if I run the visualization in fullscreen it eventually crashes Rhythmbox, however, it does not crash X for me. Effectively it maximized the visualization with a white-screen on that side of my cube (and instantly stopped playing my music). Thanks for your reply, Sebastien. It works with the opensource driver. Oddly, It works too with the proprietary driver and totem (thw same visualization system trough different programs). Thank you for your bug. That's not a rhythmbox bug though, whatever it does xorg should not crash, likely a video driver issue.
